DISCOVER SCUBA Diving

Ready to DISCOVER SCUBA Diving?

Course Requirements:

  • Minimum age: 10 years old
  • Includes Instruction, SCUBA gear rental and two boat dives

This introductory SCUBA Dive gives you the basic skills you need to taste the thrill of adventuring in the underwater world. We promise this experience will be like nothing you have ever tried before. Love snorkeling and tired of watching the fish and wishing you could get a closer look? Then you are a prime candidate for a diver, so take the first step and sign up for a DISCOVER SCUBA experience with us today.

Pacific Paradise Divers experienced Instructors can provide you a day of two dives to give you a taste of what it is like to breath under water. With a Dive Instructor by your side the whole way, this discovery dive experience will help you to determine if an Open Water SCUBA Diver Certification is something you wish to pursue.

Spend half a day with us and still have an evening to relax and enjoy the Hawaiian island living!

A typical day for a Discover Scuba Diver:

  • You would arrive at the dive boat around Noon (we can either pick you up from your hotel or you can drive)

  • At the boat a Master Scuba Diving Instructor will meet you and begin to give both of you the basics of scuba diving and the scuba gear you will be wearing.

  • You will be set up on the boat with your scuba gear

  • The boat will head out to the first dive location. Note there will be other scuba divers on the boat, although you will be in a group of 5 or less with a dedicated Scuba Diving Instructor.

  • The first stop, you and the SCUBA instructor will hop in the water and descend to approx. 35 feet and spend the next half an hour exploring the under water world. The SCUBA instructor will stay with you the entire time

  • After the first dive, you will return to the boat for light refreshments and about an half an hour break

  • Next, the boat will head to a second dive location, so that you can see/experience another dive site

  • Again, you will hop in the water and descend to approx. 35 feet with your Scuba Instructor - exploring the underwater world for another half an hour.

  • After that - the boat will head back to the harbor (total time is generally 3-4 hours)
