Driving Directions to South Shore Charters with Pacific Paradise Divers

Driving FROM Waikiki or East Oahu area...

  • Duration: Approximately 8 miles.
  • Head West on Ala Moana Blvd.
  • Ala Moana Blvd turns into Nimitz Hwy-
  • Follow Nimitz Hwy to Sand Island Access Road
  • Make a Left on Sand Island Access Road (large intersection w/ a stop light (just before freeway entrance)
  • Follow Sand Island Access Road around a left bend and OVER ONE BRIDGE (past the Keehi Boat harbor entrance - do not pull into the Keehi boat harbor))
  • MAKE A RIGHT at first chance once you have crossed the bridge. Looks like a very small road, no large signs identifying it so drive slowly once you have gone over the small bridge
  • Follow that road to the end and park.
  • Meet at the Light Pole next to the dock
  • The dive boat, "The Elysium" will pull up to the dock at the designated meet time

Driving FROM Leeward (West) Oahu...

  • Duration: Approximately 30 miles
  • Get on Farrington Highway East
  • Continue on Farrington Highway as it turns into H1 East
  • Merge onto N NIMITZ HWY / HI-92 E via EXIT 18A toward WAIKIKI
  • Turn SLIGHT RIGHT onto SAND ISLAND ACCESS RD / HI-64S
  • Follow Sand Island Access Road around a left bend and OVER ONE BRIDGE (past the Keehi Boat harbor entrance - do not pull into the Keehi boat harbor))
  • MAKE A RIGHT at first chance once you have crossed the bridge. Looks like a very small road, no large signs identifying it so drive slowly once you have gone over the small bridge
  • Follow that road to the end and park.

Driving FROM North Shore or Laie area...

  • Duration: Approximately 25 miles
  • Get on H2 headed South
  • Take the H1 East exit
  • Continue on H1 East
  • Merge onto N NIMITZ HWY / HI-92 E via EXIT 18A toward WAIKIKI
  • Turn SLIGHT RIGHT onto SAND ISLAND ACCESS RD / HI-64S
  • Follow Sand Island Access Road around a left bend and OVER ONE BRIDGE (past the Keehi Boat harbor entrance - do not pull into the Keehi boat harbor)

Driving FROM Windward (Kaneohe or Kailua) Oahu...

  • Duration:: Approximately 10 miles
  • Get on the Pali Highway headed South
  • The Pali turns into Bishop Street, continue through downtown Honolulu
  • Turn Right (west) onto Ala Moana Blvd.
  • Ala Moana Blvd turns into Nimitz Hwy-
  • Follow Nimitz Hwy to Sand Island Access Road
  • Make a Left on Sand Island Access Road (large intersection w/ a stop light (just before freeway entrance)
  • Follow Sand Island Access Road around a left bend and OVER ONE BRIDGE (past the Keehi Boat harbor entrance - do not pull into the Keehi boat harbor))
