Our Story ...
After working for a variety of SCUBA shops here on Oahu, a few of us local bubble breathers got together and began to take a close look at what would make the best dive shop on the island. We decided that a whole lot of Hawaiian style Aloha, a true love for diving and strong goal to make every single customer's dive their best dive, would define the best dive shop on Oahu. And with that vision, we began a collaborative effort to do just that.
Pacific Paradise Divers give you, our valued SCUBA diving customers, our commitment to make every dive with us, a world class diving experience.
Don't take our word for it, see what other past Scuba Divers are saying about Pacific Paradise Divers here...

Our Dive O'hana
Chris Wade - Visionary and PADI Master SCUBA Diver Trainer
Chris began diving over 20 years ago, right here in the Hawaiian waters. He has spent time underwater around Catalina and Monterey Bay in California, as well as the Caribbean.
After years of traveling from California to Hawaii on almost every vacation day Chris could get, he and his wife decided it was time to make the journey for good. Chris left behind the Silicon Valley and life as a Director of Sales & Marketing in the IT staffing industry and headed to the sunny islands of Aloha.
Upon arrival to O'ahu, Chris took on the role of Dive Safety Officer for Sea Life Park Hawaii. He created the dive safety program and enabled the park to finally become an accredited member of the AAUS.
Chris is an active volunteer to the preservation and education of those underwater species he holds in such high regard. Chris has donated his time to the Waikiki Aquarium"Edge of the Reef" program, Project AWARE, Alien Algae cleanup and very actively with Reef Check on the Board of Directors for the Hawaii chapter.
As a nationally registered EMT, Dive Instructor and entrepreneur, Chris has now made the next venture into the SCUBA Diving Community of Oahu. | |

Mike Savage - PADI Divemaster and All around good guy
Mike grew up in Memphis, Tennessee scared to death of the water...so scared, he did not learn to swim until he was 16 years old!!!
Then came the Marines, while in the Marines he honed those swimming skills and began SCUBA diving in 1990. That was it, he was hooked on being in the water. He dove for 2 years throughout Okinawa and mainland Japan. Then for the next 10 years on every transfer, he was able to grow and enjoy a diverse collection of dive experiences. He was able to live and dive in places such as California, Southern Florida, Bahamas and Virginia, collecting over 600 dives!
Although, it wasn't until he arrived in Hawaii with his wife Destiny, a naval officer stationed here in Oahu, that he learned the importance of continuing his SCUBA diving training. He completed his Advanced Open water, Rescue and Divemaster training last summer and has worked as a divemaster all around the island.
On off days, he can usually be found hanging out underwater at Sharks cove on the North Shore during the summer. |

Pearl Wade - PADI DiveMaster and Webmaster
Although Pearl does not have the years of SCUBA diving that Chris & Mike have, her love for the underwater world is no less.
On the move to Hawaii, Pearl became a certified diver and quickly became an avid SCUBA Diving weekend warrior. She tries to work in a dive any time she can around her "day job" as a System Analyst for a global corporation.
She has now over 100 dives logged in the Hawaii waters surrounding Oahu and is all about sharing the island dive experience with others every chance she gets. She is most fond of finding the tiny critters that are often missed, and always has an eye out for a glimpse of her personal favorite, the spotted eagle ray.
Now that she has completed her Masters Degree, we can expect to see her face in a mask and 90 feet below sea level, instead of at the computer, a whole lot more! |

Krista Heide - PADI Scuba Instructor & Paradise Photographer
Although she grew up land-locked in the Midwest, Krista has always had a profound love for the ocean and its wildlife.
Her innate mermaid passions were truly ignited over10 years ago when she dove into the waters off Maui with a singing humpback whale. Her interest in, and love for, marine life was further strengthened while working several summers as a naturalist in Hilton Head Island, SC observing the friendly bottlenose dolphins.
She began diving six years ago in the kelp forests of the Channel Islands off of Santa Barbara, CA and instantly began growing gills! Since then, with camera in tow, Krista has logged hundreds of dives in California, the Sea of Cortez, the Great Barrier Reef, and the Poor Knights Islands in New Zealand.
Her love for diving and travel inspired her photographic talents and she spent the past three years completing a Commercial Photography degree at Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, where she focused on underwater photography & videography.
Krista was recently drawn back to the Hawaiian Islands this past November. Through her photography, and the diving and ecological education of others, she hopes to help bring about a greater awareness and appreciation for the ocean, its magnificent creatures, and the numerous pressures that threaten their existence.

Cory Wade - Rescue Diver and Dive Enthusiast
Cory was first certified in the cool waters of Monterey California, at a young age, to serve as a "built-in Buddy" for his father.
On his first dive in Hawaiian waters, upon surfacing Cory exclaimed "I am NEVER diving in cold water again!". Of course, who needs to when your parents move to Hawaii?
Cory is everywhere, tending to the boat, assisting divers and always underwater! Cory spends the school year with his mother in the dry desert of Nevada and summers in Hawaii. When in Hawaii if he is not underwater, he is on top of it with his surfboard. He looks forward to graduating High School in 2006 and joining the Army's special forces shortly after. |
